Pats Peak Sets New Record!
A
Follow Up From the CCL Committee...2007 Childhood Cancer
Lifeline Weekend at Pats Peak Sets New Record!
Childhood
Cancer Lifeline Weekend (CCL) at Pats Peak raised $20,000
this year, setting a new high for the event, and insuring
much needed support for NH families whose children are
battling cancer.
Members of the CCL extend their profound thanks to Pats
Peak, for their continued enthusiastic support and incredible
generosity. In addition to the $10 donation on each
all day lift ticket, Pats Peak added on a percentage
of all food sales and $2 on each Saturday Night POP
ticket to their donation.
Equally
as amazing as the financial support from Pats Peak was
the willingness of the employees to assist with this
event. Many employees donated their effort and creativity
to make the success of this event possible. In the spirit
of St. Patrick’s Day, Jim Wall printed and sold
500 “shamrocks” raising an additional $1,000
for the Lifeline.
Tom
Fisher spearheaded the raffle of two snowboards and
a pair of skis during the month of March, raising additional
funds for the Lifeline. As a small, all volunteer organization,
pulling off an event of this magnitude would have been
impossible without their assistance. We extend our heartfelt
thanks to all of them.
In
addition to Pats Peak volunteers, John Mann of Roxanne
and the Voodoo Rockers arranged for the performances
of all the amazing bands. We owe John our continued
thanks for taking this role on again this year. Thank
you to all the bands for donating their time and talent.
The
success of this fundraiser was due in large part also
to the support of the community. Volunteers Tim Fortier,
Rita Blanchard, Amy Patenaude, Karen Kana, Eren Martin
and Steph Osborne were vital in the procurement of auction
items and donations. Volunteers Dan & Karen Kana,
Rick & Kim Johnson, Gary & Robin Riley, Rob
& Pat Bryer, as well as many of our current board
members and their families, helped to make this event
our best one yet. We could not have done it without
each and every one of you. From the businesses, which
donated items, to the people who attended the event,
we both saw and felt your desire to assist families
in a time of need. Thank you.
