In 2011, $21,500 was raised at Pats Peak For The Childhood Cancer Lifeline of NH
Over $196,000 raised over the past 11 years
through this event
The
Childhood
Cancer Lifeline Weekend at Pats Peak, held February
26 & 27, 2011, raised over $21,000, insuring much
needed support for NH families who have a child battling
cancer. This was the 11th Year of the Childhood Cancer
Lifeline Event at Pats Peak. Throughout the past eleven
years, the event has raised more the $196,000 for the
Lifeline to help NH families.
Sylvia
Pelletier, President of the Childhood Cancer Lifeline
of NH says: “The Childhood Cancer Lifeline is
deeply touched by the outpouring of generosity from
the community and area businesses, who continue to show
their support. These funds will help meet the ever-increasing
needs of families facing a pediatric cancer diagnosis.
The Childhood Cancer Lifeline extends their heartfelt
thanks to Pats Peak and all of its employees, for their
continued creative and enthusiastic support. Pulling
off an event of this magnitude without their support
would be impossible.”
In
addition to hosting the event, this year Pats Peak again
coordinated a donation request campaign. Visitors to
The Peak, along with Peak employees, papered the lodges
with well wishes, collectively donating over $5,600.
The Childhood Cancer Lifeline also received a portion
of the lift ticket sales during Pats Peak March Online
Only Specials, March 7-9, and an additional donation
from Pats Peak bringing the total donation to $9,180.
The
Childhood Cancer Lifeline thanks John Mann, of Roxanne
and the Voodoo Rockers, for coordinating the all-star
band line up on Sunday. John and Roxanne have been supporters
for years, which is no small feat to assemble so much
talent.
The
Childhood Cancer Lifeline has a great group of board
members, and volunteers who work very hard to organize
this event. They would like to thank: Rita Blanchard,
Karen Kana, Kim Johnson, Eren Martin, Laura Mills, and
Amy Patenaude for their assistance requesting donations,
and to the Bryer and Nash families for helping to run
the auction event.
